While we promise we don’t generally encourage self-inflicted wounds, microneedling is the exception! Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure that uses a 12 point sterilized needle cartridge to gently puncture the skin from 1-2mm. These controlled micro injuries kick start the skin’s own repair system to create collagen and elastin production in the skin, producing a softer and more youthful glow and complexion. Through a series of microneedling treatments, the collagen and elastin increase to the point that fine lines, acne scarring and sun damage reduce or disappear. We recommend completing a series of 3-6 treatments for best results, usually about 4-8 weeks apart. Keep in mind that this treatment does require 24 – 36 hours downtime due to excess redness following treatment. So, you may want to reschedule that modeling gig or blind date. Skin will continue to peel slightly for 3-4 days, though it’s nothing that will scare people away.
