We would like to say yes, forever and ever. The truth is, every person is different. The follicles that are currently there we can zap away. Hormone changes in the body etc. create new follicles. Unfortunately, we have no control over this.
We say a solid 6 treatments usually gets everything. The Brazilian and the bikini areas are very stubborn. These areas will usually take a few more treatments.
We use a cold air simmer along with the laser in order to minimize any discomfort. For those who are extra sensitive, we provide numbing cream to be applied beforehand at an extra fee.
We suggest shaving the evening before your treatment. You cannot be tanned or using self tanners. This is because you will be burned. We suggest 4 weeks post tan before receiving a treatment. To alleviate extra discomfort, we recommend women schedule around their cycle. If you come during your cycle, you may be more sensitive.
5-7 days. You will be able to continue with life after treatment. The spot treated will get dark brown, and within 5-7 days will flake off.

The actual treatment feels like a mild bacon grease splatter. We then cool the area with cold air.
We can treat markings associated with sun damage, age spots and beauty marks. We cannot treat hyperpigmentation areas related to the natural darkening of underarms, knees etc.

The discomfort is minimal. We use cold air on the area after the treatment.
For the superficial veins, most often they are gone immediately. Others can be seen disappearing over the course of weeks. Some veins will diminish in size and colour after the first treatment but will need another treatment to fully disappear.
We suggest that you do not go in a hot tub, bath or sauna for 5 days following leg vein clearance. No vigorous activity such as running etc. is recommended for a few days following treatment. This gives time for the vein to start to heal and not have pressure put on it.

The laser only targets the pigmentation in the skin, which absorbs the light without damaging the surrounding skin at all. The laser heats up and destroys the pigmentation, which is drawn to the surface without harming any surrounding tissue. Once it is drawn to the surface, the pigmented area will fade, or dry and flake off the treated area, leaving a more even tone and complexion to the skin. If only we could laser away those dirty dishes though…

Using a laser to send strong bursts of light to the vein, the blood in the vein will coagulate and eventually destroy the vessel, making the vein fade and disappear over time. The body naturally reabsorbs the blood that pools and redirects further blood flow to other veins deeper below the skin. Treatments are virtually painless, except for a warm or hot snapping feeling as the laser pulses are absorbed. We may provide a numbing cream if you’re particularly sensitive. 1-3 treatments are needed depending on the vein, and treatments take approximately 30 minutes to an hour.
